The sound of his voice must have woken Nick up, because his eyes fluttered open then widened in shock.

“Oh, you awake too bitch!?” Ripper snarled as he flicked his knife closed and pocketed it. Then he swiftly moved away from me and delivered a powerful blow to Nick’s face. It didn’t stop there, he straddled Nick’s body and delivered blow after powerful blow.
